At a glance
- A request is not a completed refund.
- The calculation should reflect the amount actually paid.
- If charged without an order, contact support before paying again.
When a refund may arise
An approved cancellation or return, a missing item, an undeliverable order or a payment that did not produce a confirmed order may require a refund or payment investigation. The reason, payment method and order record determine the next step.
Amount and discounts
A refund for an affected item should be calculated from the amount actually paid for it, including the effect of allocated coupons or promotions. Any delivery charge that is refundable under the approved terms must also be considered. An undiscounted printed price is not automatically the refund amount.
The final policy must define approved fee treatment, partial-order calculations and any statutory exceptions after finance and legal review.
Stages and payment method
A request may be received, reviewed, approved, initiated and finally completed by the payment provider or bank. These stages are different. For online payments, the original method is normally the first route to check; an alternative method needs verification. Cash-on-delivery orders need a separately confirmed route.
Processing time depends on review and the payment provider. This draft makes no fixed payout-time promise. The approved policy must give clear service levels and escalation details.
If a payment looks wrong
Keep the order ID if one exists, payment reference, date and amount. Contact support before paying a second time for the same basket. Never share a card PIN, UPI PIN, password or one-time code to receive a refund.
Common questions
Will I receive the printed product price?
The review should use the amount actually paid for the affected item, including discounts and applicable charges.
Should I pay again if the first attempt was debited?
Contact support with the payment reference first so the original attempt can be investigated.
